Doping-Free Production Certificate

In respect to recent questions about the presence of doping substances due to cross-contamination in sports food products, SPONSER certifies the following.
·According to Swiss Federal Law, pharmaceutically active substances such as those listed on the IOC doping list, namely hormones and prohormones, but also bioactive herbal extracts (e.g. tribulus terrestris, KawaKawa, saw palmetto), are regulated as medicaments and consequently not allowed to be sold as dietary supplements. Swiss food manufacturers are therefore not authorised to handle medicaments on their production lines.
·As a supervised Swiss food manufacturer, SPONSER does neither produce, store trade, nor handle any of the above substances in its facilities. Neither raw materials nor finished products can under any circumstances come into contact with hormonal, prohormonal or any other pharmaceutically active substances. Therefore, contamination with IOC-prohibited doping substances is completely impossible.
·SPONSER is collaborating with ISO-certified food manufacturers, suppliers and chemical industries which guarantee for their products. They are under permanent control of Swiss food law authorities.
·Furthermore, all food and dietary supplements have to be approved and authorised by the Federal Department of Health (BAG). This includes approval of a product’s content, labelling and other advertising instruments. Any later product modifications such as e.g. new flavourings, are subject to revaluation by the BAG. After a 5 years period the certification has to be renewed. The respective documents, certificates, analyses and other data sheets are deposited at the BAG, the responsible Laboratories of the Canton and at SPONSER SPORTS FOOD itself.
Due to above stated facts, Swiss made SPONSER products guarantee the absence of any pharmaceutically active substances and discharge from the risk of doping.
